Tacos al pastor

What are the best in Mexico City?

Tacos al pastor, a beloved Mexican street food, are renowned for their savory flavors and unique preparation. This dish features thinly sliced pork marinated in achiote paste, chili peppers, and other spices, but really every taquero has its own recipe.

The marinated pork is then stacked on a vertical spit and slowly roasted, resulting in a crispy exterior and tender interior. The meat is served on a corn tortilla with fresh onion, cilantro and a slice or pineapple, then to make the best out of your taco, squezze fresh lime and go for your choice of spicy salsa. Is very common that there is a special salsa only for the pastor which is usually a red dried chilli spicy salsa. Try it!
